Hallucination is one thing, but fiery demonic angels is just too far out of this world.

I remember playing Max Payne on a PC during my teenage high school years. I'm not a gamer at all, but to be hooked on this game tells you that the game was awesome...at least to me. (The only other game I played on a computer instead of a normal video game system was Need for Speed Underground. It helped me get through freshmen year of college.) Max Payne taught me that painkillers cures all, and you can slow down the world and shoot like a sniper in bullet time by right-clicking the mouse, Matrix style. This game was badass.

If you can't tell, I had high hopes for the movie. All I got was crap. Did the producers even play the game? Do they know what Max Payne is all about? Did they write the entire script in a hermetic room without any consideration for the game? Or its fans?

First of all, Max Payne is hardcore; Mark Wahlberg is not Max Payne. Clive Owen can play Max Payne, not Marky Mark.

Like a novel, the game had a great storyline. I believed I was Max Payne. I wanted to kill everything in my sight to revenge my wife and baby's murder. Nothing else mattered to me in the world. My best friends were a 9mm beretta, a sawed-off shotgun, and tons of painkillers.

The film tried to imitate the game in some aspect, but in a very bad way with some cheesy lines.

"He's not dead. He's here." No shit, Sherlock Holmes!

Pros: Mila Kunis and Olga Kurylenko. Ludacris also expanded his resume.

Cons: Everything else.

Let's hope they don't make a Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne movie.

It's about damn time!

We had our first opportunity for ESPN College GameDay stripped away by Seung-Hui Cho and Virginia Tech back in 2007, when we whooped Tennessee and went on to start 5-0 and became #1 in the country for 20 minutes, until Oregon State derailed our dreams and our season...what a great birthday weekend that was for me.

Anyways, Haas Pavilion opens at 6am, show starts at 8am. It might be a tad bit early and might be nocuous to my health, but there's going to be free food and drinks for the first 500 fans, provided by Looney's Smokehouse, Odwalla, Coke, and Berkeley Farms. If it's free, I'm there.

There will be TONS of free giveaways, including 35 College GameDay t-shirts, 150 hats, a Bank of the West bear, mini basketballs signed by Mike Montgomery, 20 Touchless Car Wash coupons (I've gotten one of those, they're pretty sweet), Cal Crocs, gift certificates to Henry's, Pyramid's, & Looney's, plus one lucky fan will get the chance to win $17,500 with a half-court shot during half time when Cal takes down Darren Collison, Josh Shipp, and the rest of UCLA.
